Macadamia Nuts were brought to Hawaii in 1882 where the trees thrived in the volcanic soil; they are now grown as a cash crop in Hawaii. Macadamias have a very high oil content and most nuts are sold pre-roasted. Our Macadamia Nuts have a sweet and buttery flavor and come raw which allows for greater versatility. Macadamia Nuts can also come from Australia, Costa Rica, Brazil and South Africa. Suggested Use: Macadamia Nuts are great eaten raw or roasted as a snack. They are wonderful in desserts, muffins, granola and cookies. Try adding them slivered to fruit or lettuce salads. Use them pureed & added to sauces for lamb or poultry. Ingredients: Macadamia nuts.
